St James Theatre, the first newly built central London theatre complex in 30 years, is opening to the public in September.

Rising from the site of the former Westminster Theatre at 12 Palace Street, the privately funded space includes a 312 seat auditorium, studio space, brasserie and bar. Artistic Director David Gilmore and Assistant Artistic Director James Albrecht are working on producing the first season, to include musicals, comedies and classic revivals, announced in April.
